LOCATION & BACKGROUND
Lea operates from her cozy home studio in Berlin, Germany, where she enjoys ample light and a well-equipped workspace.
Lea has always been creatively inclined, using art as a form of expression from a young age. Though she initially worked as a professional chef, her exploration of clay felt like a natural progression. Studio Beurre emerged as a platform to blend her culinary precision with artistic creation, embracing creativity in a new medium.
CREATIVE APPROACH & INSPIRATION
Lea’s process is deeply iterative, involving sketches, careful shaping, and a relationship with each piece. Inspired by Matisse, Picasso, and Japanese ceramic traditions, she infuses her work with a blend of abstract form and functional beauty.
FAVOURITE THING AT HOME
Her favorite item is a print by Rainer Dillen, depicting delicate lemons in a bowl. A birthday gift from her parents, it adds a touch of elegance to her kitchen and resonates with her appreciation for subtle, refined art.
MEANING OF HOME
For Lea, home signifies a place filled with loved ones, where she feels truly grounded and connected. It's less about physical objects and more about the people and relationships that provide comfort and belonging.
