LOCATION & BACKGROUND

Born and raised in the Basque Country, Joshua comes from a family of creative professionals. He studied product design at Elisava, pursued industrial design engineering at MU Mondragón, and trained as a technical draftsman at Easo Politécnico. His multidisciplinary background shapes his approach, balancing emotional expression with technical precision. Rather than adhering to a single artistic movement, he engages in a constant dialogue between art, design, and functionality.

CREATIVE APPROACH & INSPIRATION

Joshua draws from Basque artists like Chillida and Oteiza, Catalan figures such as Miró and Tàpies, and international visionaries like Hepworth, Noguchi, and Giacometti. His ideas emerge often while in motion; on a bike, motorcycle, or car. He explores anthropology, history, and spirituality rather than design trends, integrating material exploration with artistic intuition.

FAVOURITE THING AT HOME

One of his favorite items at home is a vintage Los Panchos record from the 1970s, a gift from his dear friend Lola. It brings a sense of nostalgia and a reminder of good music and good company.

MEANING OF HOME

Home, for Joshua, is rooted in family, friendships, and creativity. Whether staying with his brother or visiting his parents, he finds comfort in shared moments. He enjoys gathering with close friends, cooking, and coffee rituals. A workshop, big or small, is crucial - a space where inspiration turns into creation.
