Paris Design Week 2025: Inspiration, Interiors & Indulgence
Every September, Paris transforms into a living gallery. Streets hum with exhibitions, cafés spill over with design enthusiasts, and ideas float through the air as freely as the scent of fresh croissants. For interior design lovers, Paris Design Week is more than an event...it’s a reminder of how design shapes the way we live.
This year, I joined the city for Paris Design Week, and it was everything I hoped for: an inspiring blur of objects, textures, and conversations that left me both grounded and buzzing.
What makes design weeks so special isn’t just what’s on display, it’s the dialogue they spark. Design is a conversation: between maker and material, object and user, cultures and communities. It was amazing to see people from all over the world interested in a common subject (for once!)
Highlights from Paris Design Week
Boon Room – Once a photography studio, this three-story industrial space is now home to a showroom that felt like one of the week’s most thoughtful curations of contemporary furniture and collectible design.
Sceners Gallery – A luminous loft hidden beyond the central routes, this space is a collector’s paradise. It’s the kind of gallery that makes you dream about filling your home with rare and meaningful pieces.
PDW 25 Factory – Spread across five locations, Factory was the creative heartbeat of Paris Design Week. Here, 130 emerging talents showcased international collaborations, innovative materials, and remarkable craftsmanship.
Showrooms in Saint-Germain (Rue Bonaparte) – This district was alive with open doors and creativity. Independent showrooms lined the streets, offering a mix of textiles, rugs, furniture, and art. Names like Harry Nuriev, Julie Pailhas, Galerie Gastou, and L’Objet Paris stood out as must-sees.
Where I Recharged:
-
Café Nuances Le Marais – A specialty coffee shop designed with Crosby Studios.
-
The French Bastards – Hands down, the best croissants of the trip (and I tasted many).
-
Rose Bakery – A hidden gem inside Dover Street Market, with a terrace garden that feels like a secret escape.
-
Les Deux Magots – A lively St. Germain bistro perfect for people-watching.
-
Hoxton Paris – A hotel lobby with sky-high ceilings, a spiral staircase, and a chic patio for coffee or cocktails.
-
Miznon – Go for the beef bourguignon sandwich.
-
Florence Kahn – A local favourite for pastrami sandwiches.
Bringing Inspiration Home
Being back in Paris reminded me that design thrives not only in objects but in the moments they create: the pause to notice a detail, or perhaps the spark of a new idea.
I’m carrying these ideas back to Tajmi, where our goal is to keep growing a community that believes in artful living.
So, will you be joining Paris Design Week next September?!
Stay inspired,
