A Week of Design, Discovery & Decor Dreams. Our favourite highlights from 2025.
Last month Tajmi wrapped up an unforgettable week at Salone del Mobile 2025, and what a week it was. This is a little post for anyone who might be thinking of attending in the future!
The energy, the creativity, the spontaneous conversations over Campari spritzes… it reminded me why I love this world of design, art, and human connection so deeply.
Milan pulsed with inspiration. From awe-inspiring installations to hidden corners filled with unexpected beauty, I walked (and biked!) across the city soaking it all in. Here’s what stayed with me even now a month later; the spaces, the pieces, and the moments of stillness amid the buzz.
Design Moments That Moved Me.
Hermès Home Collection – I was not anticipating walking into a giant stark white room, which distorts your perception of space. The observer had to walk around large columns to reveal colourful decor objects. The installation was not expected, and quite beautiful as an experience.
Rossana Orlandi's Gallery – Every room in her gallery evokes a very different emotion and experience. The exhibition brought together an incredible range of artists, choosing a favourite felt impossible. With an open air café and a garden at its heart, it’s an essential stop while in Milan
Wallpaper Magazine's "Material Alchemists" party inside the Triennale – not only are you inside a historical building, the exhibit showcased 20 emerging global designers, each so wildly different than the next.
And to finish off each night, it seemed like the entire city drifted toward the iconic Bar Basso for a nightcap - crowds spilling onto the street, deep in conversation about the day’s most breathtaking installations and everything in between.
Showrooms I Can’t Stop Thinking About.
Romantic Brutalism by Visteria Foundation – Inside a historical building, where each room took you on a journey. As we love glass at Tajmi, this exhibition was filled with unique pieces to swoon over.
Osanna Visconti – She opened her private apartment to showcase a major collaboration between The Invisible Collection, Dimore Studio & historical textiles by Hosoo from Japan.
Nulifur's Spiga Gallery – A number of curated rooms which span ancient Oriental art, icons of Brazilian and Italian modernism, contrasting different eras and styles of design intertwined.
Places I loved recharging in.
Between all the walking and wide-eyed wandering, there must be time for a cold Negroni and some good Milanese eats:
Orsonero Coffee - a specialty coffee shop on a quiet street, perfect for a morning stop in to start the day.
Panzerotti Luini - grab a classic Italian panzerotti, the perfect snack on the go.
Osteria del Binari – a lovey lunch spot with such a beautiful interior and exterior space, complete with garden tables tucked away in the back.
Palinurobar – a small and hip bar with a great wine selection and beautiful dishes. A vibey spot with street seating and a DJ depending on the night!
Camparino In Galleria – stop in here for a standing Campari cocktail and bar snacks, with an exterior view directly on the Duomo di Milano.
Trippa Trattoria - The perfect dinner restaurant to end your day with a really amazing meal.
There was something about this city during Design Week that hits differently. It’s a living, breathing exhibition of ideas and emotions. I left feeling visually recharged, deeply inspired, and incredibly grateful to be part of this creative world.
If you were there, I hope you felt the magic too. And if not, consider this your nudge to join next year — trust me, it’s worth it!
Stay inspired,
Arrivederci!
